You opened a window
Giving light to my heart
Casting the darkness
Away

The place where I sorrowed
Only borrowing hope
Has turned form tears and heartaches to
Grace

Every memory of home
Gives me hope for a world
Crying out – caught inside
Pain

It’s darkness that blinds men
And fear that destroys
Racked with anger they kill
Unashamed

My heart knows the anguish
Their amplified emptiness
Lost and searching they seek all in
Vain

My eyes find the window
As love endless streams in
And I think how the world needs it’s
Light
