sometimes I wonder if you can feel

me the way I feel you

a sort of strange connection

experienced from the start

I wonder if it's only in my mind

or on my part

there is so much misconception

that comes with being human

we learn to love

through small degrees

how tenderly the heart

can be - withdrawing almost instantly

afraid of being hurt

but not withstanding

it keeps on loving

anyway
