He looked and stared into the world
A sea of glass empty and shallow
Drifting far off into the realms
Of space and time unmeasured
A cold thin sheet of ice
Veiled the entrance, blocking it’s way
Touch it and find frozen flesh
Breathe warm breath, find crystal air
A silver heart beats no blood
But metal through its veins
He sees the world drift out of reach
Sheds a tear, then looks away.
